Hermen Nijhuis

Hermen Nijhuis is a seasoned hospitality professional with extensive experience in hotel and food and beverage management. Currently serving as the Hotel Manager at Ruby Emma Hotel & Bar since April 2022, Hermen oversees operations for the group's inaugural rebranding project. Concurrently, as a Hospitality Assessor for ROC van Amsterdam, Hermen evaluates exams for students in various hospitality disciplines. Previous roles include General Manager at Stayokay Amsterdam Oost, where Hermen managed a large hostel and its café-restaurant; Tentdirector at PALAZZO Productions GmbH; and General Manager at Q-Factory among others. Hermen's background is supported by a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Administration from Stenden University Leeuwarden and a strong commitment to sustainable practices demonstrated through roles in eco-friendly establishments such as Conscious Hotels.
