Katrina Williams

Katrina Williams serves as a Senior Advisor at Rud Pedersen Public Affairs and as Course Director at CPDS - Centre for Political and Diplomatic Studies since October 2023. Currently resting in a role within the UK Civil Service, Katrina has held significant positions including Director-General for International and Borders with the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs from June 2021 to January 2023, and Director-General for External Affairs at The Scottish Government from November 2020 to June 2021. Previous experience includes serving as UK Deputy Permanent Representative to the European Union from March 2017 to November 2020, and Director-General roles at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, and the Department of Energy and Climate Change, where responsibilities focused on international affairs, energy policies, and climate change initiatives. Additionally, Katrina's earlier tenure in the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs involved strategic communications and EU relations concerning environmental evidence and food and farming policies.
