Jan T. Sehrt

Jan T. Sehrt is an esteemed Universitätsprofessor at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, specializing in Hybrid Additive Manufacturing since March 2005. Additionally, Jan serves as the leader of the Metall working group for the VDI Fachausschuss Additive Manufacturing and holds a teaching position at TU Dortmund. Jan is also a Session Editor for the journal "Progress in Additive Manufacturing" and participates in standardization efforts with DIN and as a German expert in ISO TC/261. Since April 2014, Jan has been the owner of Ingenieurbüro Sehrt. Prior academic roles include serving as an Akademischer Oberrat and the head of the Rapid Technology Center at Universität Duisburg-Essen, where Jan worked from March 2005 to February 2018. Jan holds both a Doktoringenieur and Diplomingenieur degree from Universität Duisburg-Essen.
