Siddharth Sharma

Siddharth Sharma is currently a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at Ruhr-Universität Bochum since April 2023. Prior to this role, Siddharth worked at Bergische Universität Wuppertal as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter from March 2022 to January 2023, focusing on implementing a mathematical model for simulating flame extinction in the OpenFOAM solver, specifically fireFoam, and conducting an in-depth study of the OpenFOAM framework for combustion modeling. Siddharth also served as a Research Assistant at Bergische Universität Wuppertal from July 2021 to January 2022, where tasks included developing Python scripts for post-processing OpenFOAM results and creating slurm scripts for simulation setups. Additionally, Siddharth contributed to a project on Aluminium Electrolysis 4.0 during an earlier Research Assistant position at the same university from September 2019 to July 2020. Siddharth holds a Master's degree in Computer Simulation in Science from Bergische Universität Wuppertal and a Master of Engineering - MEng in Mechanical Engineering, along with an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Sheffield.
