Axel Schijns has extensive work experience in the food industry. Axel started their career at Zeelandia in 1993 as a Marketing Manager. Axel then moved on to Dawn Food Products, where they held various roles, including Sales & Marketing Manager for Germany, Sales & Marketing Director for Europe, and Business Development Director. In 2009, they joined Ruitenberg Ingredient as the Director of the Bakery Division. Axel later became the Director of Sales & Marketing, responsible for implementing changes based on the new company strategy.
Axel Schijns attended BaTB Trainer & Consultant School in Munich from 2001 to 2002, where they earned a degree in Trainer & Consultant with a focus on Management, Sales, and Motivation. Prior to that, they studied at Industrie & Handelskammer Aachen from 1991 to 1993, obtaining a degree in Fachkaufman Marketing. Axel also attended the same institute from 1987 to 1990, earning a degree in Handelsfachwirth with a specialization in Business Administration. In 2014, they participated in the Governance Course offered by Wagner Group, focusing on governance.
