Valerie Kaveney

Valerie Kaveney has extensive experience in internal audit and consulting roles. Valerie most recently served as the Director of Internal Audit at Ruiz Foods starting in November 2013. Prior to that, they were the Director of Internal Audit at Westell Technologies from June 2010 to October 2013, where they established the in-house Internal Audit function and led the Sarbanes-Oxley program. Before that, they were the Director of Corporate Audit at Material Sciences Corporation from September 2004 to February 2010, where they performed various operational audits and led special investigations. Valerie also worked as a Corporate Audit and Consulting Manager at International Truck and Engine Corporation from 1998 to 2004, where they improved the alignment of audit resources and performed risk-based audits. Valerie began their career as an Auditor at the USDA Office of Inspector General from 1994 to 1998, where they conducted nationwide audits and received an award for exemplary performance.

Valerie Kaveney received their MBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management in 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a BS in Accounting from Bradley University in 1994. Valerie also holds several additional certifications, including Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) from ACFE in 2012, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from IIA in 2001, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in 1997, and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from AICPA in 1996.
