Marcelo Eduardo Martins

Mr. Martins holds a degree in Business Administration, specializing in Finance, from FGV – Fundação Getúlio Vargas. Mr. Martins has been a member of the Company's Board of Directors since March 2009. He is also Chief Financial and Investor Relations Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Cosan Limited. His duties include identifying acquisition opportunities and executing acquisitions, as well as business development activities in which the company may have a strategic interest in the future. Mr. Martins joined the Cosan group in July 2007 as an executive at Aguassanta Participações SA Before joining the Cosan group, he was Financial and Business Development Director at Votorantim Cimentos between July 2003 and July 2007, and, before that, headed the Latin American Fixed Income department at Salomon Smith Barney in New York. He has extensive experience in capital markets, having worked at Citibank (where he began his career as an intern in 1989), Unibanco, UBS and FleetBoston.
