Rubens Ometto Silveira Mello

Mr. Rubens holds a degree in Mechanical Production Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (1972). Mr. Rubens Ometto Silveira Mello is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cosan Limited, Cosan SA and the Company, as well as the controlling shareholder of the companies. The entrepreneur has more than 30 years of experience in managing large companies, in the administrative and financial areas. Before joining Cosan, he worked from 1971 to 1973 as Advisor to the Board of Directors of UNIBANCO – União de Bancos Brasileiros SA and between 1973 and 1980 as Financial Director of Votorantim. He is one of the founders of UNICA – Brazilian Sugarcane Industry Association, and has been a member of the National Council for Industrial Development (CNDI) since 2015.
