Monica DeVreese

Monica DeVreese has extensive experience in the athletic apparel and running industry. Monica began their career in 1997 as a Running Specialty Sales Rep for adidas. In this role, they were responsible for sales, marketing, and education. Monica then progressed to Product and Merchandising Manager for the running category in the US market, where they were responsible for production forecasting, buying, and inventory controls for a $500 million category. After that, they moved to Brand Manager for Simple Shoes at Deckers Brands, where they were charged with repositioning and turning the Simple brand around by leading the global product, marketing, and sales teams. Monica was also responsible for managing operating expenses, forecasting revenues, inventory management, setting wholesale and retail pricing, and managing internal product margins. In 2003, Monica co-founded Santa Barbara Running, a locally owned and family operated specialty running store. Finally, in 2016, they co-founded rabbit, a running apparel company, because they and their partner wanted something better.

Monica DeVreese attended Bishop McGuinness from 1988 to 1991 and then The University of Kansas from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a BS in Accounting and Business Administration.
