Abubakar Mehmood

Abubakar Mehmood has a long and varied work history in software engineering. Abubakar began their career in 2010 as a Software Engineering Intern at Conrad Labs, where they worked on user-end applications to make the cloud interaction seamless and secure. In 2011, they joined trg | tech as an Analyst Software Engineer, where they translated requirements for contact centre campaigns into agent applications and automated reports. From 2014 to 2019, they worked at IBEX as a Senior Software Engineer, where they implemented microservices architecture, unit-testing and integration-testing frameworks, structured logging, and a retry capability. Since 2019, they have been working at Talabat as a Senior Software Engineer, where they have separated non-food verticals to achieve independent extensibility and scalability, introduced and implemented comprehensive testing strategies, used IaC and automated CI/CD, and architected novel solutions. Abubakar is set to join WeGift in 2022 as a Senior Software Engineer.

Abubakar Mehmood's education history includes a Master of Science in Computer Science from Lahore University of Management Sciences, earned between 2012 and 2015. Abubakar also earned a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Science from the same institution between 2007 and 2011. Prior to that, they studied Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics at Government College University, Lahore, between 2005 and 2007.
