Karen Schmied

Karen Schmied currently serves as Leiterin of „Landeswellen, Events & Musik“ for Antenne Brandenburg and rbb88.8 at Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg since August 2021. Prior experience includes serving as Programmchefin for rbb Fritz from July 2012 to August 2021, and previously as Redakteurin and Programm-Managerin at the same station from February 2003 to July 2011. Earlier roles consist of Musikredakteurin at WDR 1LIVE (January 2001 - January 2003) and SWR DASDING (August 1999 - January 2001), as well as a Volontärin position at Radio ENERGY from August 1997 to July 1999. Karen Schmied holds a degree in Medienmanagement from VWA Dresden and attended Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin from 1995 to 1997.
