Jerome Purushotham

Jerome Purushotham is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in building and managing advanced infrastructure systems for machine learning and distributed management. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer at Aqueduct since March 2023, Jerome focuses on supporting modern ML teams with robust infrastructure. Prior to this role, Jerome worked at Cisco from October 2017 to March 2023, designing and developing a scale-out distributed management system and integrating with various hypervisor platforms. At Springpath, from March 2013 to October 2017, Jerome was instrumental in developing a Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) system, creating a comprehensive management solution with scalable REST APIs. Earlier experience includes a Senior Staff Engineer position at VMware, where Jerome architected the VMware Update Manager and implemented key management integrations, and a similar role at Brocade, developing embedded management solutions for Fibre Channel products. Jerome holds two Master's degrees, one in Mathematics from Bangalore University and another in Systems Analysis and Computer Applications from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka.
