Bill Crowell

Bill Crowell is an accomplished advisor and board member in the cybersecurity industry. Bill has served on the boards of many companies, including Fixmo, Six3 Systems, Proximex, AirPatrol, and SafeNet, Inc. In each of these positions, Bill has used their expertise to help guide the company towards success.

Bill got their start in the cybersecurity industry in 2003 when they joined the board of ArcSight, Inc. Bill served on the board for seven years, during which time the company experienced tremendous growth. In 2010, ArcSight was acquired by Hewlett Packard for $1.5 billion.

After ArcSight, Bill served as an outside director for Fixmo until its acquisition by Good Technologies in May 2014. Bill then served on the board of Six3 Systems until its acquisition by CACI in November 2013. Their next advisory role was with Proximex, where they served as a direct advisor to the CEO until its acquisition by Tyco in April 2011.

In May 2008, Bill joined the board of AirPatrol. Bill served on the board for six years, during which time the company experienced significant growth. In April 2014, AirPatrol was acquired by Zone Labs for $400 million.

Most recently, Bill served on the board of SafeNet, Inc. from June 2009 to January 2015. During their tenure, SafeNet became a market leader in data security and was acquired by Gemalto for $890 million.

Currently, Bill is an advisor at RunSafe Security. In this role, they use their wealth of experience in the cybersecurity industry to help RunSafe achieve its goals.

Bill Crowell has a BA in Political Science from Louisiana State University and a Field in Computer Science from The George Washington University.
