Shivam Thapar

Shivam Thapar is a software engineer who is currently employed at Runway. Prior to this, they worked at Facebook from September 2018 to August 2021. Their title there was software engineer and they worked on the Merchant Payment Platform. This platform powered payments across FB Family of Apps, including FB Shops, FB Marketplace, IG Shopping, WhatsApp and Donations. Shivam was responsible for leading the design and implementation to enable alternate payout methods, working closely with full-stack product team, many XFN stakeholders, and large external payment partner. Shivam also designed and built a reporting platform to handle automated financial reconciliation against external payment service provider data. Shivam has experience with a variety of technologies, including C++, Python, REST APIs, PHP/Hack and GraphQL.

Shivam Thapar was educated at Troy High School and the University of California, Los Angeles. Shivam has a certification from Code School in Shaping up with Angular JS.
