Wayne Van Aken, Runwise

Wayne Van Aken has extensive experience in the real estate industry. Wayne began their career in 2000 as a Director at Grubb & Ellis, where they created a technology focused practice group and led the New York office's work in the Midtown South market. Wayne was the top grossing Director in the New York office twice in a three-year period, with year-over-year revenue increases of +48 percent, +102 percent and +144 percent. Wayne was also a finalist for Real Estate Board of New York's "Rookie of the Year" award for completing more than 300,000 square feet of leases during their first 12 months of full-time brokerage services. In 2012, they joined Cassidy Turley as a Director. During their time there, they obliterated sales targets in 2014 (+209 percent) and 2015 (+241 percent), directly as a result of refining new business development techniques. Wayne also increased their focus on technology use to initiate and maintain consistent messaging with new business targets. Wayne secured and completed 36 leases, including multiple long-term leases. In 2015, they joined Cushman & Wakefield as a Senior Managing Director. During their time there, they were awarded two promotions (Vice President to Director to Senior Director) over multiple quota-surpassing years and was recognized as the New York office's highest grossing Vice President. Wayne also implemented new prospecting protocol - guidelines for originating prospect contact, follow-up methodology, etc. Currently, they are a Senior Account Executive at Runwise, a property technology company. Wayne is responsible for promoting the Runwise platform, which is the only end-to-end boiler monitoring and management system that saves building owners money, increases tenant comfort and radically lowers a building's carbon output. On average, Runwise customers reduce fuel consumption by 20-25% and see an ROI within 11 months.

Wayne Van Aken holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh. Wayne also holds a license as a NYC Real Estate Sales Broker from the New York State Department of State.
