For 40 years, the Rural Development Leadership Network (RDLN) has been dedicated to ground-up development of poor rural communities and emerging leaders in these places. RDLN has a strong multicultural participant base and values the perspectives and knowledge of the diverse communities that it serves.

We have worked in 23 states across the US, Puerto Rico, Mariana Islands and with community leaders from Vietnam and Belize, on a range of projects involving farmers and food systems, land acquisition, housing, farmworker women, credit unions, women’s craft development, transportation, and other topics and issues.

RDLN advocates for rural issues during the annual UN Commission on the Status of Women sessions and promotes representation of rural people and concerns at other gatherings.

In addition, RDLN offers educational opportunities for rural community members through its Rural Development Institute, a degree option, webinars, and workshops.
