J. Craig Allen, MD, FASM, has extensive work experience in the field of addiction services and behavioral health. In 2005, they started working at Rushford as the Medical Director and a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. In this role, they provided clinical care to patients and also served as a leader in the organization. In 2018, they joined Hartford HealthCare as the Vice President of Addiction Services Behavioral Health Network. J. Craig'sresponsibilities include overseeing substance use treatment services, developing standard work in medication-assisted treatment programs, coordinating addiction screening and interventions, and serving as a spokesperson for substance use topics in the community and media.

J. Craig Allen, MD, FASM completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, General at Michigan State University. J. Craig then pursued their education further at Tufts University School of Medicine, where they completed a Psychiatry Residency Program from 1989 to 2002. Later, they attended Harvard Medical School, completing the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residency Program from 2002 to 2004.
