Russ, August & Kabat

Russ August & Kabat was founded in 1990 by Larry Russ, Rick August and Jules Kabat. By combining their litigation, corporate and finance, real estate and intellectual property expertise, they established a law firm that focuses on the creative analysis of complex legal problems to achieve outstanding results. In 2003, Marc Fenster joined the firm, and launched the patent litigation group, which is now one of the country’s most sought after patent litigation groups. Russ August & Kabat has over forty attorneys and two offices in Los Angeles. Our lawyers have clerked for federal district and appellate court judges, run in-house legal departments, and have led other law firms and departments of major national firms. Our lawyers include graduates from Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Michigan, Georgetown, Berkeley, Columbia, USC, and UCLA, with backgrounds in biology, computer science, engineering, biochemistry, physics, and mathematics. Russ August & Kabat is proud to be one of the preeminent midsize law firms in Los Angeles, and has been repeatedly recognized on the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Top Law Firms list. We are proud to have an outstanding, varied and interesting client base. And we are proud to be a firm where our attorneys can work in a collegial, creative and results-oriented legal atmosphere.
