Ramona Burkey

Ramona Burkey is a seasoned library professional with extensive experience in leadership roles within public libraries. Since May 2018, Ramona has served as the Library Director and Chief Executive Officer at Russell Library. Prior to this, Ramona held the position of Library Director at Cheshire Public Library from January 2005 to May 2018. Ramona's career in library services began at Manchester Public Library, where responsibilities included Assistant Library Director / Head of Children's Services and Children's Librarian from June 1998 to December 2004. Ramona holds a Master’s Degree in Library Science from Southern Connecticut State University (1997-1998) and two Bachelor’s Degrees in Anthropology from Yale University (1993-1997).
