Sam Pirani has over 29 years of work experience, starting in 1992 as a telesales executive at Southnews PLC/Trinity Mirror. Over the years, they worked their way up to become an Advertising Sales Manager, leading a team and achieving high sales performance. In 2001, Sam joined Auto Exchange as a Magazine Manager, where they helped create a national sales team and improved sales performance. In 2002, they became the Head of Sales at The Venturer, where they led the inside advertising sales team and developed a strategy for national growth. Sam then worked at Trinity Mirror plc as the General Advertising Manager, focusing on driving revenues across print portfolios and implementing a digital strategy. In 2007, they joined Johnston Press as the Regional Commercial Director, leading the implementation of group and local strategies and managing a team of sales directors, managers, and staff. In 2015, Sam became a Director - Management Consultant at Roman Associates, supporting businesses in improving their commercial performance. Currently, Sam is the Managing Director - Operations at Russell Publishing, leading the strategy for three transport and science brands and overseeing content, marketing, and commercial functions.
