Margot McShane

Global Digital Transformation and Retail Practices at Russell Reynolds Associates

Margot McShane is a leader in the firm’s Global Digital Transformation and Retail Practices, as well as the Consumer Sector. She is also a core member of the Board & CEO Advisory Partners, and was previously responsible for co-leading the firm’s Global Consumer Digital and Media Practice. Margot specializes in advising clients on CEO and Board succession planning and search engagements, as well as digital commerce and marketing searches. She has expertise in advising high growth consumer technology companies, as well as retailers and consumer-facing businesses where digital transformation, technology enablement, rapidly evolving strategies and identifying transformational leadership solutions are key themes. Margot is also a member of the Diversity & Inclusion, Marketing Officers and Consumer Products Practices. Her clients range from global Fortune 500 to private equity and venture capital backed companies. Margot is based in San Francisco.

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Margot was a director in global brand management for Gap, Inc. Before that, she held Director of Marketing positions at Odwalla, a fresh juice company acquired by The Coca-Cola Company, and at Wetfeet. Earlier, Margot spent several years working for advertising agencies, where she primarily served packaged goods clients, including Procter & Gamble and The Clorox Company.

Margot received her AB in political science and history from Brown University.
