Marla Oates

Marla Oates, CFA, is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in private equity and executive search. Currently serving as a Managing Director at Russell Reynolds Associates since 2018, Marla specializes in Board, CFO, and CEO searches as well as succession planning. Previously, Marla held the role of Director, Private Equity at HitecVision, focusing on the upstream offshore oil and gas sector, and served as Senior Associate in Private Equity at Azimuth Capital Management in Canada. Marla's career began at RBC Capital Markets, where important analytical skills were developed in investment banking and wealth management. Marla holds a Master's in Finance from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Calgary, along with the CFA Charterholder designation.
