Michael Egli

Michael Egli has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Michael began their career in the hospitality industry, working as a Temporary Restaurant Manager, Assistant to Manager and Chef de Service, Barman, and Waiter at Restaurant Crazy Cow from 1997 to 2000.

In 2000, Michael transitioned to McKinsey & Company, where they started as a Desktop Publishing Specialist and worked in that role until 2005. Michael then moved on to serve as an Information Analyst from 2006 to 2008, and later became a Senior Information Analyst from 2009 to 2011.

Following their time at McKinsey & Company, Michael joined Marionnaud Switzerland as an Area Manager from 2011 to 2012. Michael then had a short-term engagement at Bain & Company in 2012, where they held the position of Senior Specialist.

Since 2013, Michael has been associated with Russell Reynolds Associates. Michael initially joined as a Research Consultant and was responsible for executive search assignments within the global financial services sector. In 2019, they were promoted to Head of Research Switzerland and later became a Research Director. Currently, they hold the role of Research Director - Managing Lead.

Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated skills in executive search, client advisory, talent assessment, and leadership development. Michael has primarily focused on global financial services mandates, showcasing their expertise in this industry.

Michael Egli completed their education at the University of Zurich, where they earned a Master of Arts degree in Economics and Business Administration. This took place from an unspecified start year and concluded in 2005. Before attending university, Michael attended Kantonsschule Oerlikon, where they obtained a Matura degree with a focus on languages (Typus D). Additionally, they obtained a certification in English, specifically the First Certificate in English, from the University of Cambridge in December 2001.
