Ron Ongley

Ron Ongley has over 25 years of work experience in the technology and information security field. Ron started their career as a Senior Network Engineer at Quaker State in 1996, where they worked until 1999. In 1999, they joined ABCED.com as the Manager of IT, overseeing all technical operations and managing a team of 3 direct reports.

After their role at ABCED.com, Ron joined Rare Medium Inc in 1999 as the Director of Enterprise Systems. In this role, they operated in a high-pressure, fast-paced growth environment, developing technology direction and implementation strategy to support business objectives. Ron also introduced and enforced best practices, formal processes, and standardization in hardware, software, and general technical operations and decision making.

Since 2001, Ron has been working at Russell Reynolds Associates, where they currently hold the position of Chief Information Security Officer / Global Head of Technology Infrastructure. Their tenure at Russell Reynolds Associates has been ongoing, and their responsibilities include overseeing information security and leading the global technology infrastructure team.

Ron Ongley began their education in 1990 at Ambassador University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Ron completed their studies in 1994. Later, in 2015, Ron attended the Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy. Ron enrolled in the CISO Certificate Program, which they successfully completed in 2016.
