Matthew Purcell

Matthew Purcell has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. In 2014, they started their career at Northern Illinois University, working in the NIU Graduate Office of Admissions until 2016. During the same time, they also served as a "Research Rookies" Intern. In 2015, Matthew worked as a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow at the University of Illinois at Chicago Pharmacy School.

Matthew then joined Tate & Lyle as an Analytical Scientist from 2017 to 2018. In 2019, they took on the role of Clinical Pharmacy Extern at UI Health, where they worked until 2022.

In 2021, Matthew briefly worked at Astellas Pharma US as a Medical Intelligence and Patient Insights- Student Pharmacist Clerkship. Currently, they are working as an Account Coordinator at Russo Partners, LLC, starting in September 2022.

Overall, Matthew Purcell has gained experience in admissions, research, pharmacy, and pharmaceutical communications throughout their career.

Matthew Purcell began their education in 2011 at Waubonsee Community College, where they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Chemistry. From 2014 to 2016, they attended Northern Illinois University and pursued a degree in Chemistry with a focus on Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies. In 2018, Matthew enrolled at the University of Illinois Chicago and is currently working towards their Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. In April 2021, they obtained a Business Analytics: From Data to Insights Online Certificate Program from The Wharton School.
