James Bennett

James Bennett is a Corporate and Tax Associate in Rutan & Tucker’s Irvine office. James’s practice includes mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and general corporate transactions.

Prior to joining Rutan, James worked at a national law firm in Los Angeles, where he represented clients in various industries in breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and business tort disputes. As a law student at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, James was an editor of the Southern California Interdisciplinary Law Journal, a teaching assistant for an undergraduate law course, and a Town & Gown Scholar. Before law school, James worked at an import-export company where he managed a thirty-member work force. As an undergraduate student at Stanford University, James majored in International Relations and lived and worked in South America.
