Barbara Thomson

As the Director of Career Operations and Strategic Initiatives, I oversee the technology, assessment, strategic outreach, finance, and administration units for Career Exploration and Success. These initiatives are geared to help students and alumni reach their career development goals. Our mission is to provide useful career information and applications that will enable participants to achieve academic and career outcome success.

Prior to serving in this technical role at Rutgers, I managed career services programs and provided assistance to students not only at Rutgers, but also at Florida State University, Towson University, and Monmouth University.

I have a master's degree in counseling and human systems from Florida State University and a bachelor's degree in psychology from Susquehanna University, as well as academic backgrounds in accounting and technology.
