Lawrence E Jacobs

As a Program Director, I perform counseling and advising, design and present tailored programming services, and oversee career interest communities serving as the liaison for students and faculty in Food, Agriculture, Animals, and Natural Resources as well as the Environment and Sustainability.

I manage campus partner advisory boards, connect students with exploration and networking opportunities through alumni mentorship and engagement, and build relations with employers. I was a Career Advisor, encouraging career planning with an action plan in job/internship strategies, winning interviewing/resumes, networking, and polished medical/graduate school personal statements. I have an ED.S. and MS in Counseling Psychology. In addition, I serve as a Psychology Professor, adjunct, and presented 2 TED Talks on self-inspiration and facing adversity.

My suggestions to students are to find your passion through your classes, volunteer, community service or clubs. Carry humor and a positive attitude, live your life not analyze it, and be the problem solver. Visit CES and walk away with preparation for life after college!
