Jago Verna

Jago Verna is a Senior Partner and Head of the Private Practice team at Rutherford since September 2025, bringing over 15 years of experience in the law firm sector with a focus on leading teams in the US, UK, and Europe. Prior to Rutherford, Jago held roles as Partner and Executive Director at Taylor Root from February 2021 to October 2025, and as Managing Director at SSQ from April 2012 to February 2021, where leadership included overseeing the UK Private Practice Associate team and the Italian teams in Rome and Milan. Jago also served as Managing Consultant at Michael Page from August 2010 to April 2012, specializing in senior associate to partnership appointments. Jago holds a 2:1 Hons BA in Anthropology and a Commendation Hons MA in International Relations, Policy and Legislation from Durham University, along with 8 A Levels and 14 GCSEs from Eastbourne College and The Ratton, respectively.
