Charles Connell has a wealth of experience in the oil and gas industry. Charles began their career in 2006 as a Field Engineer at Schlumberger, managing a crew on remote oil and gas wells across northern Mexico. In this role, they acted as the point of contact for client representatives and performed a wide variety of coiled tubing interventions. All work activities were conducted in Spanish.

In 2008, Charles was promoted to Senior Mechanical Engineer at Schlumberger's product center (IPC/HCS). In this role, they oversaw design projects through the entire product development lifecycle, doing a lot of CAD design and working extensively with manufacturing and supply chain functions. Charles also acted as a subject matter expert, supporting ongoing operations all over the world.

In 2011, Charles moved into the role of East Asia New Technology Manager, creating a division which had never existed before. In this role, they were able to set up an organization and grow new technology revenue by over 200% by building relationships with clients, pitching new products, sharing case studies and finding creative solutions to client problems. Charles worked extensively in Malaysia and Brunei but also supported operations across all of Asia.

In 2017, Charles founded and became the CEO of PredictMX, a turnkey solution consisting of rugged electronics and a web-based application that enables companies to move beyond scheduled events to condition based maintenance.

Since 2018, Charles has been working at Petro.ai, first as the Chief Operating Officer and then as the VP of Product and VP of Business Development. In this role, they have been empowering asset teams to organize, share, and interact with data in ways never before possible.

Charles Connell received their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2005. Charles then went on to receive their Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the same university in 2006. After that, they attended Rice Business - Jones Graduate School of Business and earned their Master of Business Administration in 2018.
