Derek Ruths

Derek Ruths began their professional career in 2001 as Co-Founder and CTO of Advanced Reality. In 2009, they took on the role of Associate Professor of Computer Science and Assistant Professor at McGill University. In 2014, they became Co-Founder and Chief Scientist of Macromeasures and also took on a Consultant role at Facebook. In 2016, they were appointed President of Charitable Analytics International and in 2018 they became Chief Architect of Petro.ai.

Derek Ruths obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science from Rice University between 1998 and 2003. Derek then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science at Rice University, which they completed in 2009.
