Jason Westrich

Chief Scientist at RWDC Industries

Jason Westrich has over 20 years of work experience. Jason began their career in 1997 as a Volunteer for the Peace Corps. In 2000, they became a Research Assistant at Harvard Medical School and Brigham & Womens Hospital. Jason then moved on to Sanofi-Aventis in 2003 as a Research Associate, and in 2004 they were a Senior Research Associate at Genzyme. From 2009 to 2016, Westrich worked at the University of Georgia as a Graduate Student and a NOAA Oceans and Human Health Fellow. Most recently, they have been the Lead Scientist at RWDC Industries since 2021.

Jason Westrich attended the University of Colorado Colorado Springs from 1990 to 1993, studying Biology. Jason then attended Creighton University from 1993 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelors of Science in Biology. Jason then went on to The University of Georgia, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Microbial Ecology in 2015. Jason also holds a Private Pilots License - Instrument Rating from the FAA.
