Declan Johnston

Declan Johnston is a Mechanical Design Engineer at Motioneering since November 2019, specializing in damping solutions for high-rise buildings and bridges, as well as monitoring the health of existing structures. Prior experience includes a role as Project Scientist in Vibrations and Damping at RWDI and a Mechanical Engineering Student role at the same company, where significant contributions were made to the mechanical design of large tuned mass dampers for skyscrapers and bridges. Additional experience includes positions as a CAD Operator at Cascade Corporation, Junior Mechanical Engineer at V. Mance Manufacturing Ltd., Ride Mechanic at Canada's Wonderland, Residential Construction Worker at V. Tomic Construction Ltd., and Lifeguard and Swim Instructor at Dovercourt Recreation Association. Declan holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Guelph.
