Juergen Hirsch

Juergen Hirsch has extensive experience in the field of aluminium metallurgy and engineering, currently serving as a Berater at Speira and as a Consultant at ALEN GmbH and Aluminium Consulting Königswinter since 2017. Hirsch has also held a position as an external consultant for Speira since April 2016 and as an apl. Prof.Dr.-Ing. at the Institute für allgemeine Metallkunde und Metallphysik at RWTH Aachen since 2001. Previous roles include Senior Scientist at Norsk Hydro, leading industrial R&D projects from 2002 to 2017, and Abteilungsleiter at VAW Aluminium AG from 1991 to 2002. Early career experience includes positions at Alcoa and RWTH Aachen University, culminating in a Dr.-Ing. degree in Physical Metallurgy from RWTH Aachen.
