Jacqui Young

Project Manager / Business Analyst at RWWA

Jacqui Young has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Jacqui'smost recent role was as a Principal Program Manager at BHP Billiton, starting in 2017. Prior to this, they worked at Racing & Wagering WA (RWWA) from 2008 to 2017. At RWWA, they held various positions including Project Manager / Business Analyst, where they managed the full project lifecycle of close to 20 projects using Kanban, Scrum, and Agile methodologies.

Before their time at RWWA, Jacqui was the Director of the Bateman Bullcreek Newspaper Delivery Round from 2004 to 2007. In this role, they managed a business with over 1400 clients and an annual turnover of over $500,000. Jacqui worked closely with major national newspaper and magazine distributors and several retailers.

From 1996 to 2001, Jacqui worked at JP Morgan Chase as a Vice President (Project Manager / Business Analyst) for the Global Investor Services division. Here, they established a client technical relationship team and participated in new client conversions.

Jacqui's early career includes roles such as Systems Analyst at J. H. Minet from 1994 to 1996, Systems Analyst at Nicholson Leslie Group from 1993 to 1994, and Systems Analyst at Cornhill Insurance from 1993 to 1993. Jacqui also worked at Del Monte UK from 1990 to 1993 as a Team Leader, where they were involved in the design, specification, development, and implementation of planning and cost analysis systems. Additionally, they served as IT coordinator for Southern Europe, responsible for user training and support, as well as business requirements specification and design.

Jacqui Young attended the University of Durban in South Africa from 1982 to 1984, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Jacqui has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In April 2019, they completed the PRINCE2® Foundation Certification Training and the PRINCE2® 2017 Practitioner program offered by PeopleCert. In August 2019, they became a Certified SAFe® 4 Agilist through Scaled Agile, Inc. Furthermore, in November 2014, Jacqui obtained the DSDM Agile Project Manager certification from APMG International.
