Joanne Grant has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles. Joanne started their career as a DBA (Database Administrator) and Programmer at Edgars Stores Ltd from March 1990 to February 1992. Joanne then worked as an Analyst/Programmer/Lecturer at Systems Programming Ltd from March 1992 to November 1993. Following that, they joined Intellex Consulting Services Inc. as a Senior Analyst Programmer from November 1993 to June 1999. Joanne then worked as a Systems Consultant at DBR Group Pty Ltd from November 1999 to February 2002. Joanne later joined Anthem Software as a Senior Developer, where they worked from April 2002 to July 2011. Most recently, they have been employed as a Senior Developer at RWWA since August 2011.
Joanne Grant completed their high school education from Florida Park High School in Roodepoort, South Africa from 1980 to 1984. Later, they pursued higher education at the University of the Witwatersrand, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Entomology from 1985 to 1998.

Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) is a dynamic, versatile and commercial organisation that operates in meeting and furthering the needs of the racing and wagering industry in Western Australia. Our purpose is to ensure the long-term sustainability of the WA racing industry and we achieve this goal through being the controlling authority for the three racing codes of thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing in Western Australia as well as incorporating wagering through the TAB. We are unique to other racing and wagering jurisdiction across Australia which provides various opportunities and benefits for our customers, the racing industry, employees and stakeholders.
