Leslie Crockett has extensive work experience spanning several industries. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Financial Officer at Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA), where they are responsible for ensuring the long-term sustainability of the WA racing industry. Prior to this, Leslie worked as a Director at CFO Consulting & Advisory.

Leslie also served as the Chief Financial Officer at Cash Converters, leading the Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Risk teams. Leslie was also responsible for governance as Company Secretary. Before that, they held the same role at Pioneer Credit Limited, where they led various teams and served as Company Secretary, including through IPO.

Earlier in their career, Leslie worked as the Financial Controller at Mirvac, a listed A-REIT with integrated activities in the real estate investment and property development sector. Leslie also served as the Group Financial Controller at Worldwide Online Printing and Canadian Overseas Packaging Industries Limited, both of which were listed multinational companies.

Leslie began their career as an Assistant Financial Controller at Capco and a Financial Accountant at Electronic Data Systems Ltd. Leslie also worked as a Manager and Consultant at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, where they gained experience in audit, consulting, financial advisory, risk management, and tax services.

Throughout their career, Leslie has demonstrated expertise in finance, governance, mergers & acquisitions, risk management, and strategy.

Leslie Crockett has a comprehensive education history in the field of accounting and finance. In 1986, Crockett attended Falcon College. After completing high school, Crockett pursued a Bachelor of Accounting Science from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, graduating in 1995. In the same year, Crockett also became a Chartered Accountant through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe.

In 2002, Crockett furthered their knowledge with a Post Graduate Professional Development Programme in Australian Income Tax Law and Aspects of Australian Company Law from the University of Southern Queensland. In 2004, Crockett obtained the Chartered Accountant qualification from the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Continuing their education, Crockett enrolled in Melbourne Business School in 2008, earning a Diploma of Business specializing in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. Currently, Crockett is pursuing a Graduate degree from the Australian Institute of Company Directors, with an anticipated completion date in 2022.
