Paul Clarke has extensive work experience in various roles in the IT industry. Paul started their career as a Helpdesk Administrator at BNFL in 1992. Paul then worked as an IT Support provider at RWS Project Services, where they also developed databases and provided hardware and network support.

From 1998 to 2005, Paul worked as a Software Developer at CSL, where they planned, developed, and tested data warehouses using SQL Server and Oracle. Paul also designed ER models and implemented data staging processes.

Paul joined Fujitsu Australia Limited in 2005 and worked as an Analyst Programmer at WA Police, specializing in SQL DTS development, database design, and mentoring junior developers. Paul later worked as a Senior Analyst at WA Police, focusing on the Mainframe Decommissioning project.

In 2007, Paul continued their work at Fujitsu Australia Limited as a Senior Analyst at WA Police, this time in charge of the Mainframe Decommissioning project. Paul was responsible for ASP.NET web development and implementing web-based relational database solutions.

At Woodside Energy, Paul held several roles from 2008 to 2020. Paul started as an ICT Team Leader at WA Police before transitioning to the role of Senior Analyst at Woodside Energy, where they became an expert in numerous applications. Paul then became the IT Enhancements Lead, acting as a liaison point for the team between operational team leads in a multi-vendor support environment. Finally, they became the Service Delivery Coordinator, ensuring the successful delivery of critical application support services to meet the needs of a major oil & gas business.

Most recently, Paul worked as a Site Reliability Engineer at Racing & Wagering WA (RWWA), where they managed, supported, and automated systems in a mixed environment of cloud, on-prem infrastructure, and cloud-endured solutions. Paul demonstrated skills in automation, integration, APM tools, and root cause analysis. Paul also supported and developed AWS cloud environments and had experience with operating systems like Windows, Linux/UNIX, and MacOS.

Paul Clarke attended Golborne Comprehensive School from 1982 to 1988, where they obtained their O Level/GCSE degree. Later, from 1994 to 1998, they studied Computer Studies Bsc Hons at Loughborough University, focusing on computing. In terms of additional certifications, they received the IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) from ITIL Foundation Certification Training Level in July 2014. Paul also obtained certifications in "Working with Difficult People" and "Holding Yourself Accountable" from LinkedIn in January 2020 and February 2020, respectively. Additionally, they acquired the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in June 2020.
