Daniel Porter has extensive experience in process engineering, automation, and strategic projects management. Daniel worked at JEA from May 2008 to July 2012 as a Process Engineer, where Daniel was recognized for their successful process optimization efforts, including saving over $20 million in a CFB Boiler effort. Since July 2012, Daniel has been with RYAM, holding various leadership roles such as Automation & Strategic Projects Manager, Engineering Group Leader, Pulping Area Maintenance Manager, and Senior Project Engineer. Daniel was chosen by RYAM senior leadership to lead the company-wide efforts to identify and deliver Automation, Strategic & Optimization projects in line with Industry 4.0 to transform the business.
