Mark G. Whyte

Mark G. Whyte has extensive experience in risk management and credit. Mark G. served as the Director of Risk Management & Credit at Rayonier Advanced Materials from July 2018 onwards. Prior to that, they worked in the Corporate Risk Management department at the same company from November 2012. Before joining Rayonier, Mark was the Senior Director of Risk Management at UtiliQuest, LLC from June 2009 to October 2012. Mark G. also held various roles at John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods, Inc., including Vice President of Risk Management from January 1996 to April 2009. During their tenure at John Wieland, they established a formal Risk Management Department and managed the Corporate Facilities and Securities Group. Mark began their career as a Claims Adjuster and Senior Claims Adjuster at Liberty Mutual from January 1986 to January 1989, and then worked as a Senior Claims Examiner at Sedgwick James of Georgia, Inc. from January 1989 to January 1991. Overall, Mark has demonstrated expertise in managing risk, developing and implementing safety programs, and overseeing budget and personnel.

Mark G. Whyte has a Master's degree in Risk Management & Insurance from Georgia State University, completed in 1992. Mark G. also holds a Bachelor's degree in Business & Finance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, completed in 1985.
