Julia Chen

Julia Chen is an accomplished Actuarial Director at Ryan Specialty since May 2022, specializing in pricing and underwriting support for MGUs with significant GWP, and excelling in technical ratemaking and innovative solutions. Prior experience includes roles at CNA Insurance, where responsibilities encompassed conducting reserving studies and predictive analytics, and co-founding ZG Consulting Group, focused on international trade between Korea and the U.S. Additionally, Julia served as a Teaching Fellow and Statistical Consultant at Yale University, advising researchers on statistical methods across numerous projects. Educational qualifications include a Master of Philosophy and a Master of Arts in Economics from Yale University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Economics, and Mathematics from Mount Holyoke College.
