Matt Markert

Matt Markert is a native Austinite with over 15 years of experience in property tax consulting, having saved clients more than $70 million in property taxes. Previously, Matt held roles including Director of Commercial and BPP Appraisal at the Travis Central Appraisal District, where they led the assessment of over $100 billion in tax valuations. Matt is currently the Director of Property Tax Commercial at Ryan, specializing in managing real estate property portfolios and engaging in extensive property tax appeals. A licensed Property Tax Consultant, Matt is also a subject matter expert and frequently speaks on property tax challenges. They earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Texas A&M University in 2006.
