Matt Scherer, CMI, is a Principal and Vice Practice Lead for Transaction Tax at Ryan, LLC, a prominent global tax services firm known for having the largest indirect tax practice in North America. Since joining Ryan in January 2003, Matt has progressed through various roles including Principal, Director, Manager, Team Leader, and Consultant. Additionally, Matt serves as a Dallas Chapter Board Member and former President of the Coastal Conservation Association Texas, a leading marine conservation non-profit organization. Previous experience includes a brief internship in agricultural lending at First Victoria and an internship at Pollard Ford. Matt holds a BBA in Accounting and Finance from Texas Tech University, where education was completed from 1998 to 2002, and graduated from Calallen High School in 1998.
