Philip Ryan

Philip "Tony" Ryan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in law enforcement, intelligence, and military consulting. As the Principal and Owner of The Thin Blue Line, LLC since June 2015, Ryan leads a consulting firm that offers specialized guidance and services to organizations and governments, drawing on over 60 years of combined expertise. Additionally, as Founder and President of The Ryan Group LLC since May 2012, Ryan provides consulting on Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) to private entities and government agencies, leveraging more than 28 years in law enforcement and intelligence. Previously, Ryan held various leadership roles at the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) from 1986 to 2012, including Executive Assistant/Chief of Staff and Attaché to the U.S. Ambassador in Malaysia, where strategic law enforcement operations against international criminal organizations were developed and directed. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Corrections from the University of Baltimore and an Associate of Arts in Law Enforcement from the Community College of Baltimore County.
