Sam Guevara

Sam Guevara is an accomplished tax technology professional currently serving as the Practice Leader for Tax Technology at Ryan since November 2020. In this role, Sam manages a team focused on integrating a wide range of technology services, including data analytics and intelligent automation, to tackle challenges faced by tax departments. Prior to joining Ryan, Sam had a notable tenure at KPMG from August 2010 to November 2020, where responsibilities included leading the US Indirect Tax Practice, overseeing Transaction Tax Systems, and managing compliance outsourcing centers. Sam began a career in taxation as a Senior Tax Auditor at the California State Board of Equalization from 1993 to 2000. Sam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of San Diego.
