Gregg McAvan

Gregg McAvan currently serves as the Base Captain Edinburgh at Ryanair since December 2014, also holding roles as a Line Training Captain and Captain of the B737-800. Prior to this, Gregg was a Substitute Base Captain at the Edinburgh Base, overseeing operational functions within Ryanair UK Flight Operations. From June 2010 to December 2014, Gregg worked as a Senior First Officer on the 737-800. Gregg's career began at Vodafone from May 2003 to January 2008 in various roles, including Device Management Project Coordinator, M.I. Analyst, and Telesales/Retention. Previous experience includes telesales positions at Singlepoint(4U) Ltd from April 2001 to April 2003. Educational qualifications include training from the Oxford Aviation Academy (2008-2009) and A-Levels from Newcastle-Under-Lyme College (1998-2000) and Thistley Hough/Trent Valley (1993-1998).
