Eric Nelson

Eric Nelson has a strong background in the oil and gas industry. Eric worked at Ryder Scott Co. LP from 2005 to present, where they hold the position of Executive Vice President. In this role, they evaluate and audits reserves and conducts A&D due diligence for clients in various geographic areas. Prior to their current role, they were the Managing Senior Vice President at Ryder Scott Co. LP from 2005 to 2023. In this position, they specialized in unconventional plays, including those in the US and overseas, as well as areas such as the Gulf of Mexico, Australia, Mexico, Venezuela, the Middle East, and offshore Africa. Before joining Ryder Scott, Eric worked at ExxonMobil from 2002 to 2005 as a Reservoir Engineer. Eric'sresponsibilities there included reservoir surveillance and identifying workovers to enhance productivity. Eric also served as a key reservoir simulation engineer for a major heavy oil project in Venezuela.

Eric Nelson graduated from The University of Tulsa in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering. Eric then went on to earn their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 2007. In addition, Eric obtained the certification of Texas Professional Engineer from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers in December 2008.
