Andy Thompson, P.Eng. has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Andy is currently the Managing Senior Vice President at Ryder Scott Co. LP, where they supervise a team of engineers, geoscientists, and support staff to provide petroleum reservoir evaluation studies. Andy has expertise in detailed reservoir and economic evaluations for oil and gas property appraisal, project financing, and strategic alternatives such as mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to their current role, Andy served as the Managing Director at Macquarie Group, leading technical evaluations and recommendations for the company's investments in oil and gas companies. Andy was responsible for post-investment monitoring of operations, production, and reserve evaluation.

Before working at Macquarie Group, Andy also held positions at Ryder Scott Co. LP as a Managing Senior Vice President, overseeing reservoir evaluation studies and making presentations to clients, lending institutions, and regulatory bodies. Andy has experience in on-site supervision of drilling operations, well testing, and abandonment operations as a Petroleum Engineer at Magus Engineering Limited. Andy also worked as a Petroleum Engineer at Guard Resources Ltd and GLJ Ltd., where they conducted economic evaluations of oil and gas properties and performed reservoir studies.

Andy Thompson, P.Eng. obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, which they pursued from 1986 to 1988. Prior to that, they studied Petroleum Production Technology at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) from 1984 to 1986. Additionally, they hold the certification of Professional Engineer from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
