Serena de Palma

Serena de Palma, a consultant to Clark Hill Solicitors, is an Italian lawyer and a qualified solicitor in Ireland. She specialises in Italy-related commercial, corporate and property matters. Serena advises Italian clients with interests in Ireland as well as Irish clients who wish to invest in Italy.

She liaises with the Italian Chamber of Commerce and the Italian Embassy in Dublin and organizes events for the local Italian community on topics of interest in the legal and tax fields.

Since 2016, Serena has been advising Italian clients on property conveyancing and company incorporation in Ireland.

From 1998 to 2004 Serena worked in the Legal Department of a number of multinational companies in Milan (Siemens, Alcatel, ENI Group, Italtel), advising on international contracts, management of company’s branches and subsidiaries abroad, management of claims, litigation and resolution of disputes (mediation).

Serena is the founding partner of Slig Education Italy, a company organizing training courses for Italian lawyers, notaries and judges on Legal English, Irish and English Law. In March 2017 Slig held a collaborative seminar with the Law Society of Ireland on Italian conveyancing and related inheritance issues.

From 2011 to 2013 Serena was a Lecturer in Comparative Law and Legal English at the University of Bergamo (Italy).

Serena graduated from La Sapienza University in Rome with a Law Degree in 1996. She was awarded a scholarship by the European Commission for an eight-month internship in the legal department of a large oil and gas company in London in 1998. Serena attended a course on arbitration proceedings at the Arbitration Chamber of Milan in 2003.

Serena speaks fluent English and passed the ILEC (International Legal English Certificate) in 2009 at C1 level.
