Sheryl S. has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. In 2021, they founded and became the CEO of Ryna, an apartment rental marketplace focused on making renting and living easier and more attainable for the new generation of renters. Prior to this, they served as the Chair of the Board of Directors for Street Haven At The Crossroads, an emergency shelter for women in Toronto. In 2016, Sheryl co-founded the Future of Real Estate (FORE), a real estate networking group that hosts panel discussions and social events. Sheryl also worked as a Director at BCGI American Real Estate Executive Search from 2016 to 2020. From 2017 to 2019, they were involved in the Real Estate and Infrastructure division at Odgers Berndtson. Sheryl's earlier experiences include working in the CFO Practice at Robert Half Executive Search and in the Global Consumer Markets/Global Financial Markets division at Korn Ferry. In 2021, they participated in the Next Founders program at NEXT Canada. Overall, Sheryl has a strong background in real estate, executive search, and leadership roles.

Sheryl S. pursued their education in various institutions and fields of study. In 2008, they enrolled at the University of British Columbia and completed their Bachelor's Degree in Honours Bachelor of Arts in 2012. During the academic year of 2010-2011, Sheryl participated in an exchange program at both the MIT Sloan School of Management, where they studied Business Administration and Management, and Wellesley College, where they explored subjects like Political Science and Government, Studio Art, and Theater Studies. In January 2018, they obtained a Level II certification with Merit from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET).
